Overview
I was a web developer in the Business Innovation and Fintech Department of the Digital & Innovation Office who was responsible for implementing features for the BEA Mall mobile app that involved development in several Spring back-end microservice projects and a front-end JavaScript project.Working in a small team, I was given the flexibility to implement new changes and the opportunity to contribute ideas including code refactoring and smarter ways of doing things like creating environments for multiple developers to work and test at the same time and adopting Git branching strategy.

Responsibilities:
• Implement new features for the BEA Mall mobile app
➣ Add new APIs in its back-end microservices and work with front-end colleague to meet new requirements in user journey
➣ Add new functions to its CMS web application (front-end and back-end)
• Contribute to code refactoring and DevOps practices, including Git branching and creating separate environments for testing
• Back-end tech: Java 8, Spring Boot, JPA/Hibernate and SQL Server
• Front-end tech: React.js, Vue.js
• DevOps tech: GitLab, JIRA, Jenkins
