I am a back-end developer in the regional Platform Engineering team of Manulife Enterprise Technology & Services (ETS) (a.k.a. Asia Technology Office) who is responsible for (1) completing the PCF-to-AKS migration for hundreds of microservices with an offshore team, and (2) developing and maintaining Manulife Asia's in-house Spring Boot/Cloud-based application framework and configuration management architecture for the whole Manulife Asia.

I was a web developer in the Business Innovation and Fintech Department of the Digital & Innovation Office who was responsible for implementing features for the BEA Mall mobile app that involved development in several Spring back-end microservice projects and a front-end JavaScript project.

Working in a small team, I was given the flexibility to implement new changes and the opportunity to contribute ideas including code refactoring and smarter ways of doing things like creating environments for multiple developers to work and test at the same time and adopting Git branching strategy.

I was a back-end developer who engaged in different areas of development from analyzing business requirements and estimating changes in systems, implementing the required code changes, testing and collaborating with the QA team and UAT with project owners, all the way to deployment and production monitoring.

We worked very closely with the Ant Financial development team from Mainland China on the Replatforming project to revamp legacy back-end money transferring systems after the company was acquired by Ant. Besides, our team used the agile development methodology.

I worked as a T-25 contractor in Working Family Allowance Office (WFAO) for a short term contract of 5 months. I was responsible for R&D in web development with React JS.

I was a full-stack back-end software developer in LKK Infinitus, the largest direct selling dietary supplement manufacturer in Mainland China. I was responsible for maintaining a web platform and the back-end system of a direct-selling integrated system and implementing changes to achieve business objectives and goals. Besides, our team used the agile development methodology.

I was first a contractor in the company but then my supervisor gave me a permanet role and I became a member of the LKK Infinitus family.

I was a contract software developer in DBS and I was responsible for R&D on their new projects. The company had 2 large web projects, one that allowed internal business users to search and view scanned and indexed PDF documents and one that streamlined the form filling and endorsement workflow of its customer relationship managers, as well as many small robotic process automation projects for facilitating different groups of business users.

It was my honour to join the IBM Global Business Services division as a contractor and participated in their large banking project. I was responsible for development, writing unit test cases, working with end users on-site, collaborating with the SIT and QA teams to complete end-to-end testing.

I really appreciated all of my colleagues in IBM, especially my team lead who was extremely technical and hard-working, during my contract period since they taught me a lot of hard skills. Without them, I could hardly equip the soft skills that brought me further in my career.
